An oasis within the hard, urban context of the city.

A unique city centre Early Learning and Childcare Centre offering a secure central nature play area wrapped by the refurbished two-story building facing Angas Street and the new perimeter wings.

This ELC offers 175 places over two levels, allowing dedicated and shared activity and functional learning spaces throughout.

The central courtyard offers a unique opportunity for daylight penetration and communal play between the toddler and pre-kindy activity zones.

Using the context and location of the building as a design driver, the new centre offers a strong foundation with a soft and natural core. On entering the building, it will feel as though you are entering another world - one of softness, play and refuge - and where the indoors and outdoors collaborate to provide a welcoming haven.
